50 Over 50 App: Artist Guide

Your 50 Over 50 App: Artist Guide

Welcome to your Talent is Timeless 50 Over 50 app.

This is your online workspace for the project. It is where you’ll be able to track your album, communicate with your producer, access important updates, and follow the progress of your songs.

For now, there is nothing to download. You’ll access the app through your browser. Your login details will be sent to you by email.

What you’ll see when you log in

When you log in, you’ll arrive at your dashboard.

Your dashboard includes:

  • your album progress
  • your song milestones
  • messages with your producer
  • a log of meetings with your producer
  • links to the 50 Over 50 social group
  • updates from the Talent is Timeless blog
  • contact links for support

This is the main place to check what’s happening with your album.

Your producer

You’ll be able to see who your producer is inside the app.

Your producer will contact you through the app to arrange your first Creative Vision Planning Session.

When your producer sends you a message, you’ll receive an email notification asking you to log in and check it.

Adding your album and song information

Inside the app, you can start adding information about your album and songs.

You can add:

  • your album title
  • song titles
  • tempo
  • key
  • chords
  • lyrics
  • notes about each song

If you don’t have an album title yet, you can simply use your own name for now, for example: Saskia’s Album.

You can change these details later, so don’t worry if everything is not final yet.

If you already know which songs you’d like to include on your album, you can start adding them now. If not, you can wait until you’ve spoken to your producer.

Your album milestones

Your app includes milestones for the main stages of the production process.

These include things like:

  • agreeing your creative vision with your producer
  • preparing your songs
  • tracking production progress
  • reviewing mixes
  • approving final versions
  • preparing for release
  • submitting content for your story package

Some milestones have dropdown sections with more information, so you can understand what each stage involves.

Your producer will update parts of the progress dashboard as your album moves forward.

Content and story package

The app also includes content milestones for your 50 Over 50 story package.

Each content section includes:

  • a short explanation
  • a place to upload your file
  • the option to mark that piece of content as submitted
  • the option to skip that section if needed

This helps us gather the material we need to tell the story of your album.

Messaging your producer

You can message your producer directly inside the app.

Go to My Messages to see your conversation.

When either of you sends a message, the other person will receive an email notification prompting them to log into the app.

Meeting notes

When you have meetings with your producer, they may add notes from the meeting into the app.

You’ll be able to see these under your meetings section, so you have a record of what was discussed and agreed.

Samply and mix feedback

Your app will also include a link to your Samply project once your producer has set it up.

Samply is where you’ll be able to track each song as it moves through stages such as:

  • demo
  • rough mix
  • first mix
  • final mix
  • mastered version

You’ll also be able to give feedback on your mixes and approve final versions when they’re ready.

If you’re not sure how Samply works, your producer can explain it to you.

Getting help

If you have general questions about the project, you can contact Danielle, your artist manager, through the app.

If you have a technical question about content, you can contact Alex through the app.

Your settings

You can change your password and email preferences in the settings area.

You may also be able to change the display mode, for example between light and dark mode.

What to do first

Once you receive your login details:

  1. Watch the video walkthrough.
  2. Log into the app through your browser.
  3. Look around your dashboard.
  4. Check who your producer is.
  5. Add your song titles and album information if you already have them.
  6. Keep an eye out for your producer’s first message.

If your songs are not fully ready yet, that’s completely fine. Your producer will help you work out the next steps.

Good luck — and thank you so much for being part of 50 Over 50.
