  1. I am a great fan of the Eurovision Song Contest … and have previously submitted a song for consideration for the UK entry … it was around 2005/06 when BBC Radio 2, in the UK, ran a competition to submit a song for the UK entry … I got together with my friend , Nick (who can be seen being interviewed in the TisT Swindon Roadshow episode) and we wrote a song called “You Could Be Heaven” … it didn’t win, obviously … however there was no winner as the song that won the competition was never selected. Although, our song, in all fairness, was not good enough. A few years after that, RTE in Ireland ran a similar competition and we submitted a different song … that one didn’t win either (it wasn’t really good enough in all honesty) … but it got me back into the love of songwriting and together we wrote a couple more songs, just in case there were any more competitions … there wasn’t. However, one of the many things that I learnt is that it is not easy to write a ‘Eurovision Song’!!

I have attached a link to “You Could Be Heaven” should anyone want to have a listen to it. All the best … and keep writing!!
