We’ve got fantastic news to share with all our members at Talent is Timeless (TIST)! Our talented 2023 competition winner, Tanya Walker, is making headlines in the UK, and we couldn’t be prouder. This week, she graces the pages of the popular UK weekly magazine, “My Weekly.”
Tanya, a dedicated choir leader and advocate for the joy of singing, thought her singer-songwriter dreams were a thing of the past. Until she entered our 2023 Competition, that is.
Tanya’s story is a testament to resilience and passion. She’s spent years nurturing voices in her community choirs, believing that the music industry favored youth. However, her determination paid off when she was crowned the global winner our 2023 Global Songwriting Competition for over-50s.
The “My Weekly” feature captures Tanya’s journey, from the moment she received the news to her unforgettable experience at Abbey Road Studios, where she recorded her song. It’s a tale of self-belief, perseverance, and a reminder that it’s never too late to pursue your creative passions. Tanya’s story is an inspiration to us all!
