The Song Bank Vault

Every songwriter worries about protecting their songs — What if someone steals my song? What if I lose my demo? What if someone else claims they wrote it first?

That’s why we created the Song Bank Vault — a simple, secure way to protect your songs and prove they’re yours, without lawyers, paperwork, or mailing anything to yourself.

How It Works

1. Upload your song — a demo, lyric sheet, audio file, video, or even a voice memo.
2. We time-stamp and lock it securely in your private Vault.
3. That time-stamp is your proof of authorship — clear, professional, and ready if you ever need it.
4. You can add lyrics, notes, co-writers, or background details, and download a certificate showing exactly when your song was stored.
5. You always keep 100% ownership — we don’t claim, license, or share your songs. They remain completely yours.

Each upload creates a permanent, protected record of your creative journey and gives you peace of mind that your songs are safe.

How to Use the Vault

You can access the Song Bank Vault in several ways:

• From the left-hand menu on the Newsfeed page.
• From the dropdown under your profile picture in the top-right corner.
• Or directly from your profile page, under the Vault tab or the small menu icon.

To add a song:

1. Click Submit New.
2. Enter your song title, full name, and home address (this is private, used only to verify your identity).
3. Upload an MP3, WAV, or M4A file (up to 50MB).
4. Optionally, add lyrics, handwritten lyric images, or creation notes.
5. Add co-writer info and percentage splits, if applicable.
6. Confirm the song is original or derivative.
7. (Optional) Add background materials like early versions, lyric images, or stories about how it was written.
8. Sign the declaration confirming you’re the creator and owner.
9. Enter any emails you’d like to send a certificate to, then click Submit to Vault.

You’ll see a success page confirming your registration. A copy of your certificate will be emailed to you (and to any addresses you entered). You can also download it instantly — each certificate includes a unique reference number, date and time stamp, and QR code for verification.

Managing Your Songs

From your Vault dashboard, click View My Songs to see all your uploads.

• Press Listen to play any file (private to you by default).
• To make a song visible to other members, click Make Public — it will appear on your profile under the Song Bank tab.
• To change it back, click Make Private at any time.

You can store unlimited songs and versions, as long as you’re a Premium Member.
We keep secure records on file and can reproduce them on request to help prove your copyright if you ever need it.
