Every year, thousands of songwriters over 50 take a chance and share their music with us. Some are seasoned performers, others are writing for the first time in decades – but all of them bring something raw, real, and unforgettable.

Last year, one of those songwriters was Jamie Manning, who submitted a song that deeply moved our judges and earned him the title of Talent Is Timeless Global Winner 2024.

We recently completed the last part of filming Jamie’s prize experience: a full day recording at Abbey Road Studios, the creation of a professional music video, and – perhaps most powerful of all – watching his family see that video for the first time in his home in MA, USA. We captured it all. Their reaction was everything we hoped it would be: joy, tears, and disbelief. Sometimes your family are the last to see how much you’ve changed or achieved.

So… Who Wins This Year?

Let’s talk about what happens next, and how this year’s global winner will be chosen.

We’re currently preparing to release Round 2 feedback on June 14th. Every entry—whether a full song, lyrics-only, or AI-assisted—has been reviewed with care and consideration. And from that moment, the contest moves into its final stages.

Here’s how it all works:

🎵 Full Song Entries (All Genres)

Round 3 – The Long List
The top songs in each genre will move forward into the Long List—a selection of the most compelling, creative, and emotionally resonant entries we received.

Round 4 – The Shortlist
From the Long List, a final Shortlist will be announced at the end of June.

Celebrity Judging – July
In July, our celebrity panel will review the shortlisted songs and select winners for each genre.

✍️ Lyrics-Only Entries

For those who submitted lyrics without music, your path is slightly different—but just as important.

• A Top 10 Shortlist will be selected from all lyrics-only submissions
• These 10 entries go straight to a final judge, who will choose the overall lyrics winner

🤖 AI-Assisted Entries

This year’s newest category has opened up exciting creative possibilities—and our judges are assessing these entries with a keen eye for both musicality and innovation.

• A Shortlist will be formed from the top AI-assisted submissions
• One will be chosen as the AI category winner

🏆 And Then… The Big One

From the pool of category winners, one overall Global Winner will be selected—the person who will receive the full Talent Is Timeless prize package, including:

• A record deal
• A professional recording session at Abbey Road Studios
• A music video production
• And the full Talent Is Timeless spotlight in their very own episode

This contest isn’t just about recognition—it’s about transformation.
