It filled my soul
It nourished my body
And mind even more
It rose to the clouds
Then rained back again
Stood out in a crowd
Ageless hearts, forever friends

At times it would bathe us
In a warm endless flow
At times it seemed frozen
With no place to go

Sometimes you
Sometimes me
Then your touch would just melt

Not a drop in the ocean
But the ocean in a drop
A Life full of devotion
A Love with no stop
Our Love was like water
You can’t live without
We were going to go together
Now I am here, and you are not
Through all the love and laughter
Your heart had become my home
After years of happy-ever-afters
Now I find myself alone

As true as the ocean tide
As powerful as a surfer’s wave

Dear Judges,
I was so fortunate to have this submission make it to the shortlist last year. I have reworked it and think it is better than before. I just realized that resubmissions are allowed so I am sending it again and hopefully a new set of eyes can find its value. The Universe gave me these words, and my prayer is to make these lyrics a song so we can send it back to heaven.
