My brother was born with fire in his soul,
In his hard life, he’s paid a high toll.
He had my back through the high and the low
taught me to pray, and encouraged me to grow.
When the nights got long, and the road got hard,
He’d say, “Hold on tight, your soul He will guard”.
Through every storm, through every deep end,
he reminded me that Jesus was our best friend.
I am my brother’s keeper, I’ll stand by his side,
Through the darkest valleys, I could always confide.
No matter what comes, no matter who stays
Brother, I promise, His love never sways.
He carried my burdens like they were his own,
never let me feel like I was alone.
When the world turned its back, he gave me his hand,
Said, “You’re not alone, I’ll help you to stand.”

Marc Hoover has been writing stories and poems for many years. Last year, he started writing lyrics to broaden his range. His song lyrics are born out of life experience and convey a deep sense of emotional feelings. He is a man of conviction and faith who loves the Lord, his family and true friends. The first song, “A New Day” was born out of his wife’s battle with cancer. It was written in the early morning hours of January 1st, 2026. Even though we face the dark storms of life, there is always hope, and there will always be a new day. His wife, Gail, passed away and went to heaven on February 13th, 2026. This song was dedicated to her,
The second song, “Ransomed Heart” was written for his son Patrick who is a gifted actor, singer, dancer and overall performing artist. Patrick has battled addiction and a severe personality disorder for years. However, he is making a comeback in life through his faith and the support of his loving family and friends.
The third song, “My Brother,” is a testimony to those men who face struggles together and encourage each other through the trials of life, knowing that they are not alone in the battle.
