Memory Box by Lynn Brown

Lyrics

Verse 1
Memories pressed in a box
Left behind on a closet shelf
I remember when you put it there
Things that you just couldn’t share

Chorus 1
And I wish I had that box today
A faded heart on a flower lay
And I wish I had that box today
Those memories would never ever fade away

Chorus 2
And it’s funny how a flower grows first the bud and then the rose
And as I turn and walk on down the road I catch a scent of that rose

Chorus 1
And I wish I had that box today
A faded heart on a flower lay
And I wish I had that box today
Those memories would never ever fade away

Verse 2
I wonder if I could go back there
To that old house and go upstairs
And on that shelf there it would be
That old box waiting there for me

Verse1 (repeated)

Chorus 3
I wonder if I would regret these crazy thoughts that fill my head
A different time and a different me but what I felt for you was real

Chorus

Verse 1 repeats
