Lyrics
[Chorus]
Just saw the moon
And I, thought of you.
I don’t know why,
It’s just what I do.
I see something beautiful
And I think of you.
Just saw the moon,
Just saw the moon,
Just saw the moon.
[Verse 1]
Just saw the sun
Just saw it go down
Just saw the lights
Come up on the town
[Verse 2]
Just saw the first snow
Just saw the twilight
Just saw the moonglow
As it turned midnight
[Chorus]
Just saw the moon
And I, thought of you.
I don’t know why,
It’s just what I do.
I see something beautiful
And I think of you.
Just saw the moon,
Just saw the moon,
Just saw the moon.
[Verse 3]
Just saw the ocean
Just saw the stars
Thinking of you,
Wondering how you are.
[Verse 4]
Just saw the first frost
on a cold winter’s morn
Just saw the first smile
Of a newborn
[Chorus]
Just saw the moon
And I, thought of you.
I don’t know why,
It’s just what I do.
I see something beautiful
And I think of you.
Just saw the moon,
Just saw the moon,
Just saw the moon.
[Verse 5]
Just saw a dewy morn
Just saw the rain
Just saw a spring day
Thought of you again
[Verse 6]
Just saw a flower
Just saw a tree
Just saw a vision
Of you and me.
[Chorus]
Just saw the moon
And I, thought of you.
I don’t know why,
It’s just what I do.
I see something beautiful
And I think of you.
Just saw the moon,
Just saw the moon,
Just saw the moon.
Just saw the moon.
Just saw the moon.

Author
Bio
Very few writers can match Mark Farrelly’s versatility as a writer. He has spent many years as an Advertising Copywriter, writing and creating standout, award-winning advertising campaigns for TV, radio, print, outdoor, digital, etc
His advertising career included writing several jingles, which demonstrated his talent for both a strong lyric and memorable melody. But that is only the tip of the iceberg when it comes to his songwriting which spans many genres – pop, blues, country, folk, jazz.
As if this is not enough, Mark has also authored several short stories, a novelette and several poems. And having written 3 short-films to enter Bryan Brown’s Twisted Tales project on the Nine network, Mark is now writing his first feature-length screenplay – Resonance (The Piano Man).
