Verse 1
A table full of jam jars
In a house from way back when
You played your orchestra of glass
Like they were your only friends
Verse 2
You had a flash of greatness for a time
Got to show your old man, hey, this is mine
All you needed on this wide open earth
An end to the the dig, start of the search
Chorus
Elliptical, algebraic
A puzzle
On a street or satin sheet
Always a hustle
Always
For you
Verse 3
You hesitated for too long
Stopped seeing I was here
Now I look for you in a song
And hope a path cleared
Verse 4
Last time we met dark clouds stood by
A pyre of broken glass, ceiling high
No words could hold you, only made you drown
I hope a tidal wave didn’t get you down
Bridge
You were a weeping willow
Sleepless and wide-eyed
On a bed without a pillow
On a boat deck at high tide
Chorus
Elliptical and algebraic
Always a puzzle
On a street or satin sheet
Always a hustle
Always
Always
For you.

So nice of you to say, Cath! Thank you! I did put music to this years ago, but I never ever sing it, so I thought it might be worth having a bash here!
