Lyrics
Feels like I just started, my first day at junior high.
Sitting on the bleachers, my new friends and I.
Talking about our teachers, and the cute boys walking by.
Having lots of sleepovers, playing after school sports.
Feels like just yesterday, that I would say.
Further down the line one day, I won’t forget my gym shorts.
Seems like no sooner,
I was a junior in high school.
Meeting all new people, and my best friend too.
Much harder courses,
but much cuter boys.
Football games and prom dates,
having my heart broken.
Feels like just yesterday, that I would say,
Further down the line one day,
It’ll be time for graduation.
Feels like no time after that.
I had long since graduated.
Sitting in my first apartment, my best friend as my roomie.
Talking about our dream jobs,
And the cute boys we would marry.
Having lots of parties,
hanging out by the beach.
Feels like just last week,
I started thinking and wondering if,
Further down the line one day,
Was too far out of my reach.
Feels like just yesterday,
That I would say,
Further down the line one day
II guess I’ll have to grow up.
But further down the line one day,
Said you’re out of luck, your time is up.
Your time is up.
Feels like just yesterday, that I would say.
Further down the line one day, I might settle down Start a family and have some kids.
But further down the line, snuck up on me.
Cause here it is.
Here it is.
Feels like my life’s been spent,
Thinking bout that line that went,
Further down the Line then it,
Ever really went
So now I’m just Content,
With the rest of my Life spent,
Living in the present.
And Further Down The line one day,
I no longer say.
I no longer say.
Sitting on the bleachers, my new friends and I.
