Ballerina by Terry Rymer

Lyrics

If I brought you flowers would you pray for rain
If I brought you flowers would you love me again
You’re so cold, so cold
There’s nothing inside
There’s nothing to hold
You’re so cold, so cold

If I said I love you would you know my name
If I said I love you would it ease the pain
You’re so cold, so cold
There’s nothing inside
There’s nothing to hold
You’re so cold, so cold

You were a Ballerina and you danced across the stage
You were a Ballerina and you were all the rage
Do you remember touching down in all those foreign lands
Do you remember when you used to hold my hand

Your hands are shaking
I want to hold you
Your eyes keep telling me
I don’t know you
I don’t know you

If I showed you a photograph would you know my name
If I showed you a photograph would you dance again
You were a Ballerina and you danced across the stage
Hear the crowd calling, calling out your name

    1. Thanks Cath – it’s all based upon a real person whom I met whilst on a flight home from Cyprus – I have a melody, I’m not happy with it, this one I think needs a co- writer which would be the first for me 🎸🎹🎤
