It’s a new day, a new year given,
Mercies made new by grace, not earned.
New goals set before willing hearts,
Another morning where faith restarts.
New friends gathered by unseen hands,
New adventures as God commands.
New challenges rise like wind and sea,
Yet we stand strong as He steadies me.
It’s a new day, the sun will rise,
Light breaks through the darkest skies.
We walk by faith, not by fear or sight,
The Lord goes with us into the light.
It’s a new day, hope is clear,
His promises are always near.
Go forward, my friend, be strong, be brave
A new day is calling; a new life awaits.
Storms will come, and waves will roar,
The sky grows dark, the tempests pour.
But through the night His voice remains:
“Peace, be still,” above the rains.
The sun is rising, shadows flee,
Night gives way to victory.
And greater still, the truth we claim:
The Son has risen, He lives again.

Marc Hoover has been writing stories and poems for many years. Last year, he started writing lyrics to broaden his range. His song lyrics are born out of life experience and convey a deep sense of emotional feelings. He is a man of conviction and faith who loves the Lord, his family and true friends. The first song, “A New Day” was born out of his wife’s battle with cancer. It was written in the early morning hours of January 1st, 2026. Even though we face the dark storms of life, there is always hope, and there will always be a new day. His wife, Gail, passed away and went to heaven on February 13th, 2026. This song was dedicated to her,
The second song, “A Ransomed Heart” was written for his son Patrick who is a gifted actor, singer, dancer and overall performing artist. Patrick has battled addiction and a severe personality disorder for years. However, he is making a comeback in life through his faith and the support of his loving family and friends.
The third song, “My Brother,” is a testimony to those men who face struggles together and encourage each other through the trials of life, knowing that they are not alone in the battle.
