Lyrics
They say that youth is wasted
On the young
They say that life is short
So go take the plunge
They say that time is flying
Remember when
They say that things were simpler
Back then
Wonders never cease
So never cease to wonder
They say that nothing ventured
Nothing gained
They say if you don’t succeed
Try, try again
They say to take some chances
You never know
They say go live your dreams then
They go home
Wonders never cease
So never cease to wonder
What if age is just a number
In heart and mind, you feel much younger
Don’t live your days as if they’re numbered
And always wonder what might have been
They say when you are younger
You have the fire, the hunger
Until the school of hard luck knocks you down
And you can’t reach higher ground
You’re cynical, critical, and painfully analytical.
And though these things you say ring true to you
Nothing changes until you do
I say that youth is wasted
On the ones
Who say that life is short
And that they’re done
I say that time is flying
So spread your wings
I say regrets be bygones
For better things
Wonders never cease
I never cease to wonder
What if age is just a number
In heart and mind, I feel much younger
I live my life in an endless wonder
So not to wonder what could have been
What if age is just a number
Won’t let them steal my thunder
Til I’m six feel under
I’ll live my days in endless wonder
I keep moving, keep pursuing
Standing still is their undoing
They can judge and run for cover
But they can’t end my endless summer
Wonders never cease
Why ever cease to wonder
On the young
They say that life is short
So go take the plunge
They say that time is flying
Remember when
They say that things were simpler
Back then
Wonders never cease
So never cease to wonder
They say that nothing ventured
