Where is the spark?
Where did it go?
It wasn’t long ago
That the energy flowed between us.
It was so magical,
Like a fairy tale.
It caught me like a whirlwind,
That was off the rails.
When I think of that time,
It’s like watching a movie,
Full of romance and love,
That was never ending.
Now that time seems
So very long ago
So much has changed
The kids are grown
Is there any way
We can rediscover
That spark that once
Brought us together?

I’m just a working mom of three adult kids that has always loved music. I love to sing and have learned a little bit of the piano, but I have always loved writing poetry that I sometimes think would make a good song.
