The last time I saw you
I didn’t know it would be the last
Would I have acted differently?
And not let the moment pass
I thought we’d have more time together
To share a few more laughs
To look forward to our times to come
Instead, now I’m looking at the past
I’m taken by a picture of you
Looking out over the sea
I pray that’s where I’ll find you
And you’ll save a seat for me
But for now, I can close my eyes
And remember the good times and the bad
But most of all, I’ll remember
What a good friend I had

The “save a seat for me” line is so sweet and moving.
Your storytelling is very clear and you express your emotions well. I would probably look a little more at your imagery. Using the “show don’t tell” technique helps make the song come to life in a listener’s mind and help us connect more deeply with the song.
