Shoshanna Gleich AKA Super Fire Woman Roller Dancing Hero Of the Heart is an award-winning filmmaker, musician, and theater maker.

Shoshanna tried to reach God on the telephone when she was four, and she has been on a spiritual journey ever since. Her work reflects her commitment to peace, harmony, joy, and spirituality. Shoshanna addresses issues that call for healing. Music and dance play integral roles in her works of art.

She made her first film in 1984 after taking a college course in filmmaking. “No Thank You, I’ll Twist Some More” showed people from all walks of life dancing “the twist” on the streets of New York, while Shoshanna played Chubby Checker on her tape recorder. The film was one of the first music videos, existing before MTV arrived. It played on WABC TV New York Hot Tracks in New York and Los Angeles, and at dance clubs in New York, Los Angeles and Tokyo. It was also presented to the US Navy to cheer up the troops.

While at college, an assault resulting in a brain injury threatened to derail Shoshanna’s promising career in the arts. The trauma has had a significant impact on her artistic journey and perspective. Despite this adversity, Shoshanna graduated from NYU Tisch Film school in 1989. Her senior year she wrote, directed, produced, and starred in her thesis film, Dinner At JoJo’s, which won Best Film, Best Production Design and Best Special Effects at NYU Tisch Film Festival.
For the next three decades, Shoshanna struggled to step through as an artist faced with the obstacles presented by her traumatic injury. In that time, she endeavored to share with the world as a filmmaker and pop/ hip hop music artist. Last year marked a milestone in Shoshanna’s artistic journey and healing. She is enthusiastic for this next chapter of her creativity.

At the end of 2024 Shoshanna released her pop/dance single “Clean Your Dirty Laundry” and played two roles Off – Broadway. She was in the EPIC Players neurodiverse theatrical production of Spring Awakening, and the lead role of Rhoda in Emma Goldman Shermans Winners at The Tank.

Currently, Shoshanna is starring Off-Broadway as The Cat in the Hat in EPIC’s neurodiverse production of Seussical: The Musical.

Shoshanna is working on a current day revival of God’s Giggle Her One-Woman comedy on roller-skates. Shoshanna hopes to present her journey as both celebration and – equally importantly – inspiration to others.

Shoshanna’s new pop/dance song is “The Enlightened Cycle”. For this song she is collecting voices from around the world to repeat a powerful Tibetan mantra. This Tibetan mantra is said to have the power to bring the enlightened state to all beings and to protect the world from nuclear war. Once again Shoshanna is exploring the theme of spirituality, healing, unity inclusion and love in this newest music project.
