Lyrics
I’m sitting looking out my window, watching people down below
Winds are blowing, leaves are falling and the people look like stone
I grab my coat and I grab my hat and out the door I go
Got to figure out just what it is I don’t know
Everybody that I meet, stumbling down the street, dead upon their feet’s, sayin’
There’s a strange rain today, it’s a such a strange, strange day
Such a strange, strange rain, to-day, It’s such a strange, strange day, to-day
Wandering through the shrapnel , wondering who would make this plan
Stumbling down the street, tripping over corpses feet, everybodies seems to say
You should stay away – just stay away, cuz it’s a strange, strange rain, to-day
It’s a strange, strange day today, such a strange, strange rain, to-day
Half my mind is hanging out somewhere outside my brain
Half of my brain’s outside my head sliding down my face
I taste an unfamiliar stench drifting across the plains
The sun it seems is melting as it’s lighting up this place
Confused, concerned it seems there’s nowhere to complain
Suggestion boxes missing as are the towers slate
Someone out there’s calling shots that no-one would dare claim
Claiming all that once was ours, it’s such a strange, strange day.
It’s a strange day today such a strange strange day
It’s a strange rain falling down and washing out the faces
Of the people reaching out, calling out in vain
There’s no place left to take them in, there’s no place left that’s safe
There’s a strange, strange rain falling on my face
A taste like nothing else, is it acid, is it base
It stings and burns and smells like hell
It’s such a strange, strange day.
Somethings falling from the sky, such a strange, strange rain
Somethings falling from the sky, such a strange, strange day
It’s a strange, strange day today, it’s a such a strange, strange rain
Such a strange, strange rain, to-day, such a strange strange day

Wow! This is such a dark dystopian lyric.
I really want to know what happens in the end. Does everyone die? Maybe the strength of the song is that we don’t have a resolution, it’s a warning.
