Bio
Ladyska is one half of the Cambridgeshire dance music duo know as Vocal’ize. Although I sing many genres Ska is my favourite however, I have never written in the stye of Ska.
I wrote this song in 1990 the night before the first Iraq war was about to start in 1990. There was a woman on the news report, and she was hanging out her washing. She didn’t think war would break out. Fast forward to 2022 a lady in Ukraine is talking about how she was talking about decorating her flat only days before war broke out.
Usually my songs are very upbeat, happy and positive, but sometimes I just have to tell it how I see it in the negative state.
We can’t always bury our heads in the sand as artists just because we want to appeal to the masses.
