Staring through the window

Walking to the subway
Cold breath in the air
No one seems to care for

Drift through subway walls

The sad story that ends without a happy ending is so true of many lives, I liked that you kept us waiting to see if it turned out ok.
The music drifting through the walls is a nice image. Perhaps use more “show don’t tell” imagery like that throughout the song as those are the elements that stay with listeners.
