When the devil thought he ruled the day,
But when all was said and done,
We learned the Lord had won,
And sent ol’ Satan on his way!

Now did you hear the story ‘bout ol’ Daniel,
Dropped into the lions’ den?
Though those big cats roared,
Dan’l’s spirit soared,
Cuz he was sure the Lord was on his side!

And the Lord said to Daniel

I know your heart is true
So I will see you through
Trust in me to keep you danger free




Have you heard the story ‘bout ol’ Samson,
Blinded by a woman’s wrath?
Just when all seemed bleak,
He let his muscles speak!
‘Cause he knew the Lord was on his side!

And the Lord said to Sampson

When your strength was sapped,

The giant’s size was huge
