Lyrics
FORBIDDEN FRUIT
VERSE ONE
We shouldn’t kiss and
We shouldn’t touch
Even a look is pushin it
Just a little too much
You kiss my hand
When he ain’t there
And all I do is just sit and stare
All I do is just stare ahead
VERSE TWO
I don’t need it to be
Any other way
I’d never leave him
And you know
We’d never stay
Together
We’re too many worlds apart
And all I can do is
Just keep a cool heart
Cool heart
CHORUS
Don’t touch that sweet forbidden fruit
Don’t touch
Don’t touch
It’s poison from the leaf
Down to the root
It’s too much
Too much to bear
VERSE 3
Dark cloud hangin
Heavy in the sky
Tear drop rain falls
As you fly outta my life
Forever
And I finally hit the truth
All you were was
Just sweet forbidden fruit
Sheer poison
From the leaf down to the root…
CHORUS
Don’t touch that sweet forbidden fruit
Don’t touch
Don’t touch
It’s bitter poison
From the leaf
Down to the root
It’s too much
Too much to bear

Bio
I have written songs since I was in my early 20’s and am now in my 70’s
I worked in the music biz firstly as a trainee recording engineer at Morgan Studios London in the 1970’s
I found romance with my husband Simon during an album where he was the drummer and I was seconding
I left the studio and went into Artist management
After my divorce from Simon I tried life outside the music biz which was a bit of a culture shock!
However I’ve survived that and am now concentrating on writing my own songs lyrically and melodically
