Lyrics
Crazy Loving Ways
There were days when hell froze over,
With the coldness of your heart.
There were nights when the sun never set,
With the heat we made together.
There were times when I could have cried,
There were times when I laughed till I hurt,
There were times when I wanted you gone.
Always, there were times that I loved you.
Like swimming in a sea of sharks and bleeding like a dog.
Like living in a den of thieves with nothing left to steal.
Like dancing in a snake pit with no shoes upon my feet.
Always hanging out for good times.
But just hanging out to dry.
But now it’s time to say goodbye to your crazy loving ways.
All of that’s behind me now.
No more lying in the gutter,
Looking where the stars should be,
But only seeing tears.
There were days when heaven fell,
Wounded as the venom flew.
There were days when angels sang your name
With the joy of love you showed.
There were times when my love was yours,
When you knew it and laughed in my face.
There were times when I dreamed of you dead,
Always there were times that I loved you.
But now it’s time to say goodbye to your crazy loving ways.
All of that’s behind me now.
No more lying in the gutter,
Looking where the stars should be,
But only seeing tears.

Comments:
The imagery in this is really strong, especially the den of thieves line.
Maybe use the title line more often or in a more prominent point of the song.
