I feel your pain Anne. I still have bad days when I miss my beautiful mum even though its now 23 years since she passed.
Writing about it is so very hard and you’ve done a brilliant job and it’s balanced just right.

Classic lyric, Anne, that says so much! Love what you did as your theme interpretation of Tanya’s “Good Days, Bad Days” and how you brought about your “Treading Water”! Niiice building on that “bad days” angle and turning it “good days” theme for a meaningful, memorable, “teaching-of-sorts overcoming” lyric. (No doubt your mom is proud of you.) My ‘Treading Water’ song is based on how I felt after losing my Mum in 2019. It’s linked to the ‘Good Days, Bad Days’ theme but it’s more about the bad days turning into good days over a period of time – hope it fits the criteria for this challenge.
