Lyrics
Fox in the hen house
Fox in the hen house
You’re just a fox in the hen house
Fox in the Hen House
My life is way too good to have a fox in the hen house
Mean old man in it
Mean old man in it
You’re just a mean old man in it
Mean old man in it
My life is way to good to have a mean old man in it
It’s the same old story
Kicking stones, licking wounds
Turning heads in every room
but the Jig is up, the jig is up
Snake in the grass now
Snake in the grass now
Theres a snake in the grass now
Snake in the grass now
My life is way to good to have a snake in my grass now
It’s the same old story
Kicking stones and licking wounds
Turning heads in every room
And the Jig is up, the jig is up
Fox in the hen house
Fox in the hen house
You’re just a fox in the hen house
Fox in the Hen House
My life is way too good to have a fox in the hen house
You best be praying for redemption
Praying for redemption
My life is way too good, and the jig is up
My life is way too good, and the jig is up
Can I get an hallelujah
The Jig is up
The Jig is up
Can I get a hallelujah
The jig is up
The jig is up

Bio
A published author with two books, and a secret song writer, until now.
I have been teaching yoga for 22 years, using my voice to guide people into relaxation and restoration.
Behind the scenes I play guitar and write songs that I have not found a home for yet. If I had one regret in my life, it would be that I didn’t have songwriters and musicians around me growing up, but my mom loved music and dancing so much, it is in my bones!

Comments:
I love the “kicking stones and licking wounds” line. It so neatly sums up those feelings.
The use of repeated lines is works well especially as they change through the song.

Thank you so much for your time and your wisdom! I play it in a kinda funky, country, storytelling vibe. AND it’s really smooth for when you are introducing band members for fun solos. I appreciate your comments very much.
