Lyrics
This road’s been so long; my journey’s been rough
But I don’t think I’m done; haven’t yet been enough
No need to look back, try not to fall down
It’s not always easy to turn your whole life around
What’s up ahead ? – the thought stops me so cold;
While time takes its toll; those years make me old
This isn’t the end, but where I begin
With miles still ahead, timing is everything
Chorus:
Moving on- I’ve walked a beaten path
Now so strong – I’ve changed the after math
Been inspired to be more than before
And acquired the guts and let them pour;
Bridge:
I’ve felt – the pains of Life
Cut through me like a knife –
So l walk, walk a mile
To get back from the fire, and my desire
Like a scent lingers strong,
It’s so hard to move on ….
Just when – I think I might
Be through, and done the fight;
Then I run, like a child
Right back into the fire; my dark delight
Like a spell I am drawn,
Why’s it so hard moving on ???
———————————
Fate has a part in how I’ll get there
So much to be learned – I’m alert and aware
Mistakes make me great, and I just can’t lose
My destiny’s mine; since now I will choose
I’ll follow the light, that shines from within;
My armour’s been shed – now I’m wearing my skin
I’ll find my own way, make my own road
Love my own soul and spin my own gold
CHORUS x 2

Comments:
A nice lyric that lots of listeners could see themselves reflected in.
Try using imperfect or near rhymes as you have a lot more options to end the sentence, and make an original lyric.
