Lyrics
Put a little bit of this and that on the spoon for her
Maybe she’ll pick it up and feed herself
Or maybe she’ll use her fingers
If she needs help, that’s ok – it’s only to be expected
When you lift the spoon, she knows what to do
Open wide… Is it yummy?
Don’t rush.
Wait until she’s ready before you offer the next spoonful
When she smiles at you, smile back
When her hand reaches out for yours, take it gently
And when she tells you she loves you
Tell her you love her too
Maybe she’ll pick it up and feed herself
Or maybe she’ll use her fingers
If she needs help, that’s ok – it’s only to be expected
When you lift the spoon, she knows what to do
Open wide… Is it yummy?
Don’t rush.
Wait until she’s ready before you offer the next spoonful
When she smiles at you, smile back
When her hand reaches out for yours, take it gently
And when she tells you she loves you
Tell her you love her too

Comments:
I can’t find the meter in this lyric so am not sure how music would fit with it.
I like the imagery, perhaps it’s a poem rather than a song.
