2025 Competition Lyrics Entry:

Turn To Green Again by Claude Richard

Lyrics

Turn To Green Again C & G Richard

Summer 1-
Once we sailed an emerald lake
Under a timeless blue summer sky
Once we laid in a meadow of clovers
Tender moments we shared you and I

Summer 2 –
Together we walked through a forest of green
Enchanted by soft winds and whispering leaves
Together we talked of our hopes and our dreams
But I never dreamed, one day you would leave

Winter 1-
Now the tree limbs are bare, the meadow lies frozen
And the lake is hard as stone
I gaze out my window at the deep drifting snow
As the north wind laments and moans

Chorus
This harsh lonely winter that never seems to end
Leads me to wonder, will my world ever turn to green again

Music Break

Winter 2-
A blank lifeless canvas lies before me
Where the colors of summer once shone
My heart longs for warmth in this bleak frozen world
Where I find myself alone

Chorus
This harsh lonely winter that never seems to end
Leads me to wonder, will my world ever turn to green again
Will my world ever turn to green… again
