Lyrics
CH
I wish you a Happy Christmas
I wish you a great New year
I wish you joy and laughter
To live your life without fear
I wish you hope and glory
I wish you no more tears
I wish you peace on earth
Keep the faith and persevere
V1
Christmas is a time for giving
Christmas is a time for cheer
But when I woke this morning
I saw Santa hadn’t been here
Mince pies left untouched
No presents under the tree
I felt my anger slowly rising
How could Santa forget about me?
V2
I stared out of a frosty window
The rain had turned the snow to slush
I couldn’t hide my disappointment
Perhaps I asked for a little too much?
I never heard one carol singer
I thought at least I’d get a card or two
But all I got was a final reminder
Telling me the rent was due
Repeat Chorus
V3
I walked the streets in frustration
When up above I saw a light
I thought it might be the second coming
But I couldn’t see any Israelites
I assumed it was just a fairy story
Until I heard some angels sing
Could it be that I was dreaming?
When they said I was the new-born king
I couldn’t help but laugh out loud
Two thousand years of stories to tell
I wish you all a Merry Christmas
The next time we meet will be in hell
Repeat Chorus & Fade

Some nice storytelling moments. Try to use the show don’t tell method so your lyrics have more variety.
