One more chance by 3 chord trick

Lyrics

ONE MORE CHANCE by Stephen Leggett

I never ever thought you’d hear this tune
Till fate knocked on the door and you walked in the room
My head said to leave and hideaway, my heart told me I should let you stay
For one more chance, and one more day

We talked it through, and then we found
We’d been going too fast, on loves merry go round
Oh it wasn’t you or me did wrong
We were far too young, and just couldn’t hold on

So this time round were goanna watch our shadows, dance on the wall, dance on the wall
And I promise here and now that I will Love you, way beyond the fall way, beyond the fall
In the heat of the night, by candle light, this time its right, like a second sight

When winter comes and there’s snow on the ground
We’ll be holding real tight on the merry go round
Well we both know it could all go wrong, but we heard the tune and we made a song
I’m so glad I didn’t hideaway, from that one more chance and one more day

Bio

Learnt c,g,f and a few other chords in my youth and have never looked forward since. I like to put words to chords but mainly for my own pleasure. It’s good when a thought a chord and a strum come together.. I think the neighbours are grateful I only have an acoustic guitar and as I get older my voice gets quieter or maybe my hearing is getting worse.I enjoy getting words together, the problem comes in marrying them up with the few Limited chords I have available to me and then voice ,or lack of it is only overshadowed by my vauge sense of rhythm. In my case the section marked I am a should be changed to I like to think I can. On a more optomistic note I already have the realistic title of my first album.

One tune many songs.
