Where The Rockies Touch The Sky
A soulful and joyous celebration of the High Country experience in Colorado
VERSE
I’m drinking in the air of my solitude ,Trekking the switchbacks of life
Feeling overwhelmed with gratitude , Leaving the multitude behind
A high country change in scenery, , can change me the higher I go
CHORUS
Mother Nature all around And the Blue Bird day calls me out
Breathing in the fresh mountain air In this beauty beyond compare
When the world sinks low I go high Where the Rockies touch the sky
Where the Rockies Touch the sky
VERSE
It’s a kind of spiritual existence An elixir for my soul
I can see forever in the distance This peacefulness never grows old
The setting sun turns the sky ablaze And colors this mystical place
CHORUS
Mother Nature all around And the Blue Bird day calls me out
Breathing in the fresh mountain air In this beauty beyond compare
When the world sinks low I go high Where the Rockies touch the sky
Where the Rockies Touch the sky
VERSE
I’m drinking in the air of my solitude Trekking the switchbacks of life
CHORUS
Mother Nature all around And the Blue Bird day calls me out
Breathing in the fresh mountain air In this beauty beyond compare
When the world sinks low I go high Where the Rockies touch the sky
Where the Rockies Touch the sky
If they make an advertisement for Colarado tourism this should be the music. I want to visit now! A for the song – love the way it stops and then goes on. Nice harmonies too
I agree with Andy – a great promotional song. Ascension in the chorus mirrored the ascending mountains. Well constructed, performed and delivered – pure talent in all fronts.
Thanks Andy and Louise. That is actually my intention and dreams. Now I need to learn how to accomplish that.
I appreciate your thoughtful comments.
Ah Ian you appear to have posted more than once (you’re not supposed to be able to do that from a technical perspective!) perhaps you should reach out to the admins to combine the votes & comments and delete the others as I think you might be in the lead with your combined score!
This is a great sound. The harmonies are lovely. It has a real feel good factor.
Thanks Julie for saying that. Glad that my song lifted your spirits.
I noticed that early on Rebecca and don’t know how that happened. I did email Saskia about this and hope my ALL my votes can be combined.
I appreciate your comments and suggesting a solution.
Great production. Love the mix of the drums. Fresh harmonic sound complements the lyric. Hints of Paul Mc Cartney and the Eagles for me. Good work.
Thank you Mike for your wonderful critique. Your comparison (even a hint) of McCartney & Eagles, is very flattering.
I’ve just put this on our big TV, Ian, and we’re all watching & loving this . The production is great but you’ve a strong song as the basis. Nature uplifts my heart everyday. We don’t have mountains where we live but whether it’s the newly-opened flower or the glory of the Rockies, it’s breathtaking. You capture that feeling beautifully in your song.
Suzanne you’ve made my day. Such a glowing review, coming from someone with your amazing talent, is so empowering for me. Thank you very much. Ian Sacks
Lovely, and a superb production. Loved this!
Thank you Ian, from this Ian! I appreciate your thoughtful comments.
Ian, really enjoyed listening. To me it has a Graham Nash styling. Thanks for posting the tune.
