Nice vocal harmonies! There is a sixties flavour to this work. Love the vibraphone (or is it a xylophone?) – nice surprise! I would love to hear this song with arrangements along the lines of The Merseys or The Dave Clark Five. I enjoyed this very much.
Thank you, Helene — I take that as a great compliment: I’m a big fan of what we in New York in the mid-1960s called the “British Invasion.” The mallets here are a synth vibraphone.
So did it work out alright again? Some people luvs a happy ending. Feel it’s a little tongue in cheek at times , the 60’s harmonies are interesting …. potentially a “toe tapper”?
Yes! The title is the (positive) answer as much as a (rhetorical) question. The situation is hypothetical, based on experience but not literally biographical.
This is great. love the lyrics, voice and the tempo of the song. Definitely retro 60’s Merseybeat. Brilliant.x
Really enjoyed the listen. Nice pop song – well constructed, strong lyrics and great harmonies. Has a hint of the Kinks – which is always a winner in my books. Liked the glock{?) solo too – the song ended too soon – but that just made me play it again 🙂
