Walking From Concrete to Country
This song came as something of a relief after a bout of writer’s block just to have written something. So imagine my delight when the wonderful John Davies offered to play on the recording! John is on dobro, mandolin and other guitars playing his own arrangement and I am very grateful and blown away. Thankyou John.
Tried to write a Country style song about the benefit of walking in the country.
Great lyrics and such a truism! Nicely played, recorded and engineered.
Thankyou Mark, it was great fun! John did a great job!
Really good song. Lovely recording too. Well done.
Lovely sway-along song – I love the vocals
Very memorable. I mean this in a positive way. It would make a great commercial “jingle” for marketing country quality……Dairy products…….milk…bread….ice cream…..on and on. I hear the of “jingle” of money!
I like this very much. To be hyper critical I didn’t know whether to listen to the Dobro or Mandolin at the instru break at 1’10”, I would have preferred just the mandolin to be more prominent.
Love this Tracy. Quality
Great vocals… the tag line for the chorus is a “money line” for sure….. well structured for sure!
Really good, Tracy. Loved this!
This flows so well! The different instruments blend brilliantly, your singing is great (as always), and the tagline of ‘walking from concrete to country’ is perfect for the theme. Love it!
lovely song. great lyrics
Great idea, pretty tune, and a great performance from you both. Your voice really suits the genre even though it isn’t a ‘traditional’ country voice. Keep it country Tracy!
Comments elsewhere on FB Tracey but I loved this.
Really great, cracking lyrics and loved the mandolin.
Great song as always Tracy.
Lovely flowing vibe, loved the harmonies – great song. Enjoyed the subject too.
Thankyou everyone for listening and your feedback, it is much appreciated 🙂
