That Child Is Mine

I wrote this song to give a voice to the many battered women who encounter further abuse from the legal system when they get a divorce for the sake of their children’s welfare. I have heard versions of this story many times, from women who didn’t have the opportunity to develop their musical and communication skills the way I have. I hope to interest a female vocalist in recording this song. It is one of a group of original songs I’ve written for a CD I want to call “Stories Women Told Me”.
