Talk To Me Mel Reeves and Julie Meikle
This was a tricky subject matter….just because it's hard to find something new to say.. However, we decided to focus on the importance of talking to each other, both verbal and non verbal. No video from us this month, but look out for a new animation very soon!!

Talk to me
When shadows stretch across the room
strings play
A harmony of murmured voices
Talk to me
When the darkness creeps all around
Hold me
Inside the comfort of your voice
A sigh a smile a passing glance
Silent words a silent dance
A look a laugh a touch a token
So much said with words unspoken
A sigh a smile a passing glance
Silent words a silent dance
A look a laugh a touch a token
So much said with words unspoken
Just beautiful!
Fantastic, loved the laid back jazz feel to it, fab lyrics and sumptuous harmonies.
Lovely laid back love song – Clever too “talk to me ….. so much said with words unspoken” – excellent
Quite beautiful!! Lovely singing and harmonies. Great guitar!! A really lovely, smoky feel … had to listen again straight away. Really good job!!
Thankyou Cath, Andy, Kris and Kevin. We really appreciate you listening.
There I was in a little bar just off the Copa Cabana beach, and Antonio Carlos Jobim is ‘noodling’ in the corner. A sultry dark haired Brazilian woman enters the room and looks straight into my eyes, eyes which say “Talk to Me”.
Great lyrics, wonderful vocals and harmonies, super guitar, the feel of rich dark chocolate, just gorgeous. Thank you.
That is absolutely beautiful. I’m loving everything about this. Superb!
Thank you Ian…. I’d love to be a sultry dark haired woman.
Thanks Huw. Looking forward to seeing you Sunday.
Lovely words, melody and arrangement. Great vocal harmonies. Are they live or double tracked?
Loving that quitar sound, and the vocals are great, too. This song’s got quality stamped all over it.
Goosebumps! After yesterdays masterclass I have new appreciation for those chord shifts. I’m humming away with you as I listen. So dark and sultry. Just beautiful, didn’t want it to end.
Intimate, smooth, sensual. A beautiful sound once again from you both. 💜
Comments on Facebook. A beautiful interesting song as always and I love your voice in that lower register.
You two are an inspiration. I have my circle of 5ths poised ready for next month’s challenge. 🤣🤣✌️XXX
Just lovely!
So classy – lyrics, melody, harmony, chord selection, recording, mood. You name it, you did it right here.
