Lovely song. The lyrics and music are perfectly matched. I was instantly transported to a mill town – a factory on a rail tracks “Standing still – nothing stands still” powerful!!!
Really liked the clever lyric in the chorus! Gentle tempo and it has a very reflective quality. Suzie puts it very well when she says the lyrics and music match perfectly. Lovely!
Thank you for the lovely comments. Glad you like it.
Totally got drawn into this. I love the “clickety clack” which you have woven into the lyrics so naturally. It’s just perfect!
Really enjoyed listening to your song. Great lyrics.
I ‘m so impressed with this song, Pam. It’s deceptively simple yet there is understated emotion & skill in the way it’s crafted. I hope you and Cath sing this with harmonies & if there’s ever a chance to add a third part, my hand’s waving in the air!
Really lovely! Really liked clickity clack, really brings it to life. Gorgeous guitar work too and your voice sounds lovely.
Loved that, clickety clack!
Very nice Pam. The recurring ‘clickety clack’ is a great theme running through the song
Thank you everyone for the comments. They are much appreciated.
Really enjoyed this. You’ve captured the sad bleakness of these old mill towns perfectly.
A corking song Pam. A really natural melody and some great hooks.
