So I Run
“So I Run” is the title song from David Ray’s most recent album (June 2023 release). The song has already been honored as one of the winners in the 2022 HOFA International Song Contest. It features 5-time Grammy winner Cindy Cashdollar (Asleep at the Wheel) on lap steel, Andy Stack (Yola) on electric guitars, Adrien Reju (Syncopators) on harmony vocals, Brandon Morrison (Donald Fagen) on bass, and Lee Falco (Donald Fagen) on drums.
Fun Fact (especially on the UK side of the Atlantic): David also wrote Thereza Bazar’s (of “Dollar” fame) 1985 hit “The Big Kiss.” https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=P-7TOj19IWk
Truly great song! “The wind cuts like a second-hand Norelco” wins simile of the year. I have long admired Cindy Cashdollar.
Lovely song and guitars are great, vocals too.
