Smiles and Gentle Touches
Congratulations to John, Ann and Graham on winning the August Challenge.
I’ve found it quite difficult to summarise a story into a song (something I’ve not done before). My song is based on one of the books I read over the summer called “Summer on Buttercup Beach” by Holly Martin. It’s a simple love story but some may find it a bit cheesy!! Feedback welcome, as always.
Can’t beat a summer live song Anne!
Nicely performed by yourself, and I’m going to say it again. You have a sweet voice😁✌️☮️🌻
Hi Anne, If “Summer on Buttercup Beach” becomes a movie this would be the perfect soundtrack I’m sure. Sometimes love is “actually cheesy ” but who doesn’t enjoy a happy positive ending? Good job!
You have a great way with melody Anne. This really suits how you’ve described the book! Not cheesy either. Great song.
Aw thats lovely Anne👏
Lovely Anne. I’m a sucker for a love song. Nothing cheesy, just pretty.
well done, Anne – you managed to get all those pages of a book into a song and tell the tale – I think Steve is right, if the book ever did become a movie it would be great sound track.
Thank you very much Dave.
lovely song and nice video too. easily a soundtrack
That’s a lovely, gentle and definitely ‘feel good’ song, Ann. Well done!
What a lovely gentle song Anne. There is a reason that there are so many songs about love…. because it is still both relevant and universal… not cheesy!
Thanks very much Julie.
A really nice gentle song. Good job.
Very pretty song Anne. Lovely gently lilting melody for a love song. Also very well done with the lyric video. I must learn how to do that!
There’s no shame in a straightforward, romantic song, Anne. It’s the basis for some of the best songs ever written. You tell the story with sincerity and I really enjoy the lilting melody.
