‘Saving Mr Banks’
It’s about the film ‘Saving Mr Banks’ released 2013, which on the face of things looks all good.
But underneath P.L Travers who wrote Mary Poppins wasn’t as happy as she seemed.
Her father had a hard time holding down his job as bank manager because of his alcoholism.
Mary Poppins is in fact based on Travers’ aunt, who comes to help her family.
Then there were the conflictions with Walt Disney she had to cope with.
It seems she was also a difficult person to work with.
Hey Geoff
Great subject. I really love that film.
Well told by yourself. You made a Lovely job of the backing track mate.

great story. great video too.
Hi neet thank you so much.x
Well done Geoff, a very good retelling of the film, which highlights the truth behind the headlines, and the conflict between two very determined individuals. Nice arrangement too.
Thank you Paul.
Well written tune. Great story, production and beautiful accompaniment. Good job!
Great piano accompaniment and a lovely vocal performance. I feel I would like to see the film now.
Well done once again, Geoff. It’s certainly an interesting story & it’s moving how much the redemption of Mr. Banks meant to P L Travers. I’ve never read the original Mary Poppins books but maybe I need to find a copy and consider the Disney version again.
