Rockin Roz (plays fine tonight)
This is a song about my mother who played piano and sang as a profession raising four kids on her own. It is written from my memory of what it was like to be the youngest watching the impact she had with her music. Side note: She is now 91, lost her sight but still plays on weekends at a local art gallery
What a wonderful tribute. A story in music so well crafted that it would sit comfortably in a song set by Billy Joel or Elton John.
Not only a beautiful song Albert. You also performed it with the expression and feeling it deserved.
Spot on 👌👍
What a wonderful mother you had! This is a really wonderful song you wrote for her.
This is a lovely tribute to your mother.
Rocktastic! Rock on Albert!
Yes there’s a Billy Joel feel to this for sure.
Lovely tribute, lovely song well sung with passion.
Thank you Albert. Great to hear the keyboard, perfectly underpins a story well-told, and with a fine chorus and ‘one song at a time’ hook line to pull it all together.. This childhood themes is summoning up a variety of distictive angles, and yours adds another.
A really excellent song. A very engaging melody and lyrics sung with passion. Great job.
That’s a heart-tugging gem of a song, Albert, and you perform it with love and sensitivity. Keep on rockin’, Roz!
Beautiful, moving song and wonderfully performed 👏
Great song and performance Albert. A wonderful tribute sung with great passion. A definite Billy Joel feel for me. Nice
What a beautiful tribute. It’s a really well crafted song, a real heart string puller!
Nice. Well played.
Mate, what a beautiful tribute. As others have said could easily be Elton or Billy Joel!
