Reflection
Here's my entry for this month. I didn't think I'd get around to doing it, but here goes. This song takes the reflection theme where the plaintiff gets over the fear of looking back thanks to finding a new and perfect love. Co-written with Graham Buxton, although using the reflection theme it’s ultimately a positive love song. I hope you like it.
Memorable chord sequence and chugs along very nicely. Good production as usual.
Still not sure of any protocol for which platform to comment on, so here’s what I wrote on facebook
Quality work again Steve. As usual very nice guitar work, great vocals. Quite Beatlesque (is that even a word) feel to the overall sound. That trip to Liverpool was well worth it. Oh yes and on top of all that, you can whistle!
Nice song, Steve. Love the way it rolls along.
Good one, Steve. You get a great chuggy rhythm with your guitar accompaniment. Good arrangement and production too.
Are you in your bathroom?
Your vocals are as pure as always. The production is lovely and sympathetic to the song. I really like the harmonies too.
Nice one Steve. X
“I’d smash this window if it would help me breathe….” Love that line! Also rhythmically cool!
