    Here are the lyrics:
    You could have been a dancer on the West End stage
    The greatest performer of the age
    You could have been a star of the silver screen
    But life came along and got in the way
    Then it was too late in the day
    And it’s left you reflecting ….. on how it might have been

    And you just have to ask the question ‘why?’
    Maybe you just set your sights too high

    You could have been a singer in a rock and roll band
    You could have had a million fans
    The biggest thing on the music scene
    Why it didn’t happen you can’t understand
    Life maybe dealt you a losing hand
    And it’s left you reflecting ….. on how it might have been

    And you just have to ask the question ‘why?’
    Maybe you just set your sights too high

    Now you’re grounded, you know where you are
    You write your songs, and you play your guitar
    And you don’t need to worry anyway
    It’s not about the chance of finding fame
    You don’t care to play the game
    And now you’re reflecting ….. on the music that you play
    ….. the music you can play
    ….. every single day
    ….. hey, hey, hey
    ….. the music you can play
