Lovely little song, tells a story of your childhood perfectly
My son loved toy trains so this reminds me of him, who also has older sisters who went away to college. enjoyed Listening to this.
Love that driving beat, Geoff. The rhythm of life, you could say!
Very nice Geoff. I particularly like the way you have stripped it back for the first verse then built it up again. Enjoyed it
This is great! Love how the rhythm reflects the chugging of a steam train (that’s how I heard it anyway!).
I had to smile at the part about your Geordie grandma, Geoff. My Dad’s side of the family were all Geordies and they were a lively bunch. The gentle train rhythm throughout works well and I wondered if there might be an opportunity to play with the idea of the train a bit more in your song. Our lives can sometimes feel like a train journey.
Well I had Hornby Dublo 3-rail when I was a boy – that brought back memories! Thank you.
Fantastic nostalgic journey – I loved the pictures too. Great lyrics and as Anne said, the rhythm really epitomized the train essence of the song!
Like it.
Great video and production. Enjoyed this trip down your memory lane. Mal
Hi Geoff lovely bit of nostalgia and the warmth of memories that are clearly special to you comes through.
Something so engaging about this song.
Really like that Geoff. Such a touching and honest lyric. Great build through the song.
Just lovely! The trains are running in our house still. Evocative and delightful
Lovely that Graham. I agree you can hear the train!
