Man In The Mirror

So, here's my contribution to the #reflections challenge. Its something I've been working on for a while. Started off a while ago when I went to Colombia on holiday and heard people talking about 'the pirate Francis Drake'. That tickled my imagination, because we don't think of him as a buccaneer here in the UK. And then all the controversy began to emerge about owning our collective history and our past. The reflections challenge seems to fit the broad intention behind the song…..maybe you don't agree? But that's the beauty of songwriting I think; being able to express your thoughts and open them to discourse. Recorded at home alongside my percussinist and keyboard friends.
