    Great song, Chris – brilliant piano playing, and the piano gives so many different melodic possibilities. It’s not the kind of song I usually go for, but this is heartfelt, understated yet still powerful, and I love it.

    You’ve so cleverly described the rise and fall of a relationship in song. Is this it as a phrase translates from positive to negative so well in the settings you’ve given it. As always, you make me believe everything you sing, fabulous performance, looking forward to the musical.

    To be honest I could listen to you singing a sound engineering manual and love it…. having said that, you write such heart rending lyrics it would be a shame for you to have to sing a boring manual… I’m waffling… I loved it as usual Chris. the rhythmic change in it really cleverly reflected the different moods of the song. Another winner for me.

    I relate to this song deeply. I would so easily fall in love. Then I met someone different, vibrant, and I remember the evening I talked to the Universe and said that if this wasn’t it, then nothing made any sense anymore. Thankfully, in all the madness of this life, it worked. And it still does. Whether this song wins the popular vote or not, it’s the song that resonates most deeply with me. Thank you for writing it, Chris 😘.
