Honkey Dream

My “country” entry is born out of my amusement at several comments made by Brits concerning country music and its somewhat foreign nature to the European side of the pond. As a “Yank” and a southern Yank at that, one would think I should eat country for breakfast. As a child of the 60’s and 70’s, British music dominated everything in my world. County was not popular in any circle I traveled in. Every 4th of July when the US celebrates Independence, I always tell my friends, that if not for a few crazy colonial rebels, I could be a British citizen today. We referred to country music as honkey music. Still do! I hope you see the humor in my entry and my love for for British music of every variety.
