Follow Your Path Alone
This song is based on a book by Robin S. Sharma call ‘The Monk Who Sold His Ferrari’ – it is about a spiritual journey where you must be willing to follow your path alone and not be distracted by others who might doubt you – A bit like life in general really! Anyway, hope you like it.
Great song Dave, some wise words in there. Sounds like a really interesting book – will have to look it up.
So true, material things mean nothing, it’s the journey that matters. 👏
I did like it. It’s very difficult to distill complex philosophical ideas into a short song (as I discovered) but you’ve cracked it. Well done, nice tune too, and what great acoustics in that room!
Excellent Dave, and so very true. Love your singing voice in that room by the way. There’s something very Billy Fury era about it. I like that.😁✌️🌻☮️
great story and lovely song.
Lovely moody song. Had hints of The Doors – which can’t be a bad thing. Sung really well too.
Thanks Andy – I’ll take the doors!!!!
Great performance and wise words indeed!
Great laid back vibe underpinned very wise words. Nice job altogether. Gets my vote
I see @AndySmith1758 mentions The Doors and I have to agree. There are definite echoes of “Riders on the Storm” and that is no bad thing! “Follow your own path” is not only good advice but a great refrain too.
Great understated vibe Dave and love the lyrical hook. Top song! Coincidentally, I watched The Wonderful Story of Henry Sugar last night which has theme of a self absorbed rich man who goes on similar journey.
