Eve of the Coronation
Thought this track may be appropriate at this moment in time as my submission for the theme Historic Figure. It’s a song relating to Henry VIII’s coronation in 1509 taken from my album released in 2013 Henry VIII and his Six Wives: a Contemporary Soundtrack (pre ‘SIX’ by the way!) It’s sung by Matthew Kane.
Very apt
Lovely, easy jazz feel to this and an unusual subject too.
Cool, slinky vibe…. Effective lyrics for the musical style…
Perfectly apt! Great feel. Very listenable
Very interesting and unusual take and treatment.
David your a cool dude. Piano upright bass winning combo.
Yeah I really liked that arrangement 👌
So very well written, recorded and arranged and a first class vocal to finish off. Interested to know if it was recorded in a home or commercial studio. A first class piece of work.
