  1. Verse 1
    Staying up late, defying mum
Fighting with my brother, having fun
Taking lots of dares, from safe and warm
Getting into trouble, but weathering the storm

    Pre
And time rolls forward, with each day done
And the magic years vanish. one by one

    Chorus
But those early memories will stay for ever
The child I once was is still inside of me
The love, the trust, the dreams and adventures
    Early memories, sweet early memories

    Verse 2
Lots of special birthdays, hugs and kisses too
Asking lots of questions, exploring all that’s new
First day at a new school, making lots of friends
Some still with me, some that had to end

    Pre
And time rolls forward, with each day done
And the magic years vanish, one by one

    Chorus
But those early memories will stay for ever
The child I once was is still inside of me
The love, the trust, the dreams and adventures
    Early memories, sweet, early memories

    Middle 8
Toys went in the attic, parents got old
Children came along with, lives to unfold
When we played with them, they grew up so fast
We saw ourselves as it, was in the past

    Chorus
But those early memories will stay for ever
The child I once was is still inside of me
The love, the trust, the dreams and adventures.
    Early memories, sweet, early memories

    Outro
The love, the trust, the dreams and adventures
Early memories, sweet, golden early memories…..

  2. I love that simple piano with the subtle string accompaniment far enough back in the mix to fill but not intrude. Great vocal. You hit notes that I can only dream of
