Don’t Lead Me On
Loved this challenge. I managed to write a couple but prefer this one!
I wanted to write a harmony piece in a sort of Everly Brothers style – and with a bit of Simon and Garfunkel thrown in too!
I’ve gone down with a lousy cold and so the vocals are the guide vocals from the demo made last week – so apologies for them!
Hope you enjoy it.
This is beautiful – would love to hear it in finished form when your cold has gone, but it’s very listenable as it is.
I really enjoyed this, thank you. Oh get well soon xx
Lovely song, really enjoyed listening to this.
Oh I like this one. Great harmony vocals. Nicely balanced recording and good middle 8.
Lovely song Andy 👌
You certainly achieved the Everly/S & G sound…….with maybe a bit of Proclaimers too. Love harmonies and yours are great. Really good Andy.
Very good song and recording!!!
No need to apologise! I really like the harmonies, and the overall sound is great, with a nice straightforward lyric.
Harmonies are lovely, great technique.
Thank you for all the kind comments. Really appreciated.
Three thumbs up for your taste in music; and your skills in weaving those influences into one fine tune.
Very Everly Brothers harmonies – love the switch to the middle eight and back to the verse.
Lovely harmonies Andy. Definite Everley’s in the verses and Simon and Garfunkel for the middle 8. Great job
oh nice song and sound.
You had me from those beautiful opening notes, Andy. A lovely heartfelt song and sensitive arrangement.
The sense of exposure to romantic disaster rings true for me, and is nicely set in the music.
This is lovely. Really enjoyed it.
Really captivating from the start. Beautiful song in every way.
Really lovely, didn’t want it to end!
